The short version
We don't have a tracking pixel, an advertising network, an analytics suite that profiles individual users, or a data-sale relationship with anyone. The site is mostly static HTML with JavaScript that runs entirely in your browser. Your calculator inputs, dietary preferences, and reading habits are not collected by us.
What we collect
Calculator inputs: your numbers go into JavaScript that runs in your browser and produces a result. They aren't sent to a server. They aren't stored. They disappear when you close the tab.
Server logs: like nearly any website, our hosting provider logs basic information about page requests — IP address, browser user-agent, URL requested, timestamp. These logs are kept for a short period for security and reliability monitoring, then deleted. They're not used to build profiles of individual users.
Email correspondence: if you email us at hello@caloriebliss.com, we keep your message until we've responded and any follow-up is complete. You can ask us to delete it any time and we will.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies only. We don't use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or fingerprinting techniques. The only cookies you'll encounter are technical ones needed for the site to function (e.g., remembering whether you've dismissed a one-time notice). You can disable cookies in your browser settings without breaking the site.
Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when loading our pages. Google may log this request as part of their normal operations. We don't use Google Analytics or any other Google product that profiles users.
We don't embed Facebook pixels, X (Twitter) pixels, TikTok pixels, or any other social tracking infrastructure.
Data we don't have
We don't have a user database. You can't create an account on this site because there are no accounts. We don't have your name, email address, payment information, weight, height, or dietary preferences — unless you've emailed us.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we've inadvertently received such information, contact us at hello@caloriebliss.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy — for example, if we ever decide to use analytics or advertising — we'll update the "Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be flagged on the home page for at least 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California, etc.), you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. Since we don't really collect personal data, most of these rights are trivially honored — but if you've emailed us and want your message deleted, you can ask us to do so by replying with "please delete this conversation."
