About CalorieBliss

Free, friendly, and honestly useful nutrition information.

CalorieBliss is a nutrition information site for adults trying to manage their weight, eat better, or just figure out how many calories are in a chicken breast without scrolling through seventeen ads. We make calculators (free, no signup, no email), articles (friendly, jargon-free, backed by published research), meal plans (real food, real shopping lists), and recipes (calorie-counted, with full nutrition info).

What we are

We're a small, brand-only publication. There are no fake doctor bylines, no AI-generated "Dr. Smith, RD" personas, and no guest authors selling supplements at the bottom of the page. The content is written and edited by the CalorieBliss team and stands or falls on its own merit.

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device. Every article cites the formulas and studies it draws from. Every recipe gives you the actual nutrition numbers, not a vague "low calorie!" tag.

What we aren't

We're not a medical practice. Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment plan. If you have a medical condition or you're trying to lose weight in a context that overlaps with a health concern, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian — not a website.

We're not a "diet program." There's no membership, no signup, no special "system" you have to learn. Read what's useful, ignore what isn't, come back when you need something. That's it.

How we make money

We don't accept affiliate compensation. No links to scales-on-Amazon that pay us 4% if you buy. No "sponsored" articles. No paid product placement.

The site is run independently. If we recommend a tool, kitchen appliance, or piece of gear, we do it because we think it's useful — not because someone paid us to mention it.

Our approach to information

The supplement and weight-loss space is full of bad-faith advice, oversimplified takes, and flatly wrong nutrition claims. We try to do the opposite: cite primary sources, acknowledge uncertainty, and admit when the research is messy.

The basics of weight management are well-understood: calorie deficit produces weight loss, protein matters for muscle preservation, fiber and minimally processed foods produce better satiety, and consistency beats optimization. Most of our content reinforces those basics in different ways for different people.

What we don't do

We don't sell anything. We don't run pop-ups asking for your email. We don't run pixel trackers, analytics that profile users across the web, or invasive advertising. We don't have an app. We don't ask you to sign up to read articles. We don't gate calculators.

Get in touch

Have a correction, a question, or want to point out something we got wrong? Email hello@caloriebliss.com. We read every message, though replies can take a few days.

The short version: we make free, useful, ad-light, brand-only nutrition content. No affiliate spam, no fake doctors, no upsell. If something here helps you, that's the whole point.
